Borders:  

Hearts of Hope is surrounded by a series of iv borders.  2 spacer borders, as well as ii pieced ones.

Measure the quilt from elevation to bottom through the quilt center.  Cut two side borders this length.  

Add borders to quilt heart, pinning to match centers too ends, easing where necessary to gibe.  Press seams toward borders but added.

Measure across the quilt centre from side to side including the borders but added to this measuring.  

Cut tiptop too bottom borders this length.

Add peak & bottom borders to quilt eye, pinning to match centers and ends and easing where necessary to fit.  Press seams toward borders.

Pieced edge #2:

Pieced Squares Border

Make strip sets past alternating ii blue 1 i/two'' strips with two yellow ane ane/two'' strips into sets four strips high.  Press seams toward the blue strips.

Short strip lengths are my go-to when I want to create a lot of diverseness without as well much repeat of the same affair.

Subcut the four-strip sets into 44 segments 1 ane/2'' wide.

Cut 2 bluish squares ane one/ii'' in addition to two yellowish squares one 1/two'' for use equally cornerstones.

Join 11 of the 4-square units side by side into ane border length.  Make 4.

Following the colour placement inward the diagram higher up, add edge of squares to quilt sides as shown, taking greenback that the correct side edge starts alongside a yellowish square at the meridian, and the left paw border starts with a blue square.

Press seams toward the 1st neutral border.

Add cornerstones to each terminate of the pinnacle too bottom pieced borders, pressing seams toward the cornerstones.

Getting that pieced border on!

Add elevation too bottom pieced borders to quilt.  Press seams toward the inner neutral border.

One more than to become!

Following the directions for the start inner border, repeat the procedure past joining border strips end-to-stop on the diagonal. Trim excess seam allowance i/4'' beyond stitching in addition to press seams open up.

Measure through the center of the quilt from tiptop to bottom too cut ii side borders this length.

Add them to the quilt, pressing seams toward the borders merely added.

Measure across the middle of the quilt from side to side together with cut ii summit/bottom borders this length.

Add them to the quilt as well as press those seams toward the borders.
